HJ Bosch & Sons Panel Beaters

Background

HJ Bosch & Sons Panel Beaters is a family-owned business with a legacy dating back to 1969. With 50 years’ experience as a premier panel beating workshop in Gauteng and a preferred supplier listed with all the major insurance companies, they are well versed on the ins and outs of the auto repair industry. Using the latest technology and the most advance equipment available HJ Bosch & Sons ensures that every vehicle bought in is repaired to its factory specifications. The quality of their workmanship meets the standards required by insurance companies and motor manufacturers, but perhaps most importantly, the expectation of their customers.

In addition to growing their national footprint through the business format of franchising their growth strategy includes expanding their business into rural areas where there is a shortage of insurance-approved panel beaters.

The concept under the spotlight

The HJ Bosch & Sons business philosophy prioritises their commitment to assisting their customers. Using the Audatex computerised quotation system that accurately estimates prices allows them to meet reasonable quotation standards while ensuring that the labour and parts supplied are in line with Automotive Body Repair Industry standards.

Their service offering includes, major- and non-structural repair, minor dent and scratch repair, paintless dent repair, hail damage repairs, plastic bumper and rim repairs, digital assessments, spray painting and a towing service.

While the HJ Bosch & Sons Panel Beaters target market is insured vehicles out of warranty, with around 70% of all vehicles in South Africa being uninsured, they also service this market.

Typically located in industrial and preferably rural areas, an HJ Bosch & Sons Panel Beaters outlet requires between 1,500m² and 2,000m² of which around 1,500m² must be under roof. The site must have 3-phase electricity and all proposed sites will be assessed for road access, visibility, passing traffic and the demographics of the area.

Each HJ Bosch & Sons outlet will employ a team of approximately 40 staff members including suitably skilled and qualified spray painters and automotive body repairers, operations manager, office manager, a branch manager, customer service team and receptionist.
